BELONG ANYWHERE

Styleframe, Motion, 2015

"Cities used to be generally villages, and everyone was essentially kind of like an entrepreneur. And then the Industrial Revolution happened. Suddenly cities became more and more mass-produced and we stopped trusting our neighbors. Trust, mediated by technology, is making a comeback, along with the paradigm of the village." — Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb.

The concept of this sequence was to show that people from different villages could travel to various parts of the world and still feel at home. The sequence begins in a whimsical storybook environment. A group of people from a small dandelion village begin plucking dandelion seeds and using them as transportation devices. They arrive in suitcase village, where it is then revealed to the audience that the dandelion seeds actually came from larger than life dandelions. The people fly into homes with open windows and are welcomed with warm bread waiting for them at the dinner table.
